Hello! Today I am so excited to share the first part of our new design along! Yes, you read right, design along, not crochet along! Here is a cute Koala that you can make and there is even a fun challenge involved.
The interesting thing is that you get to decide how the amigurumi koala will look like! The challenge is hosted by Hobbii.com and we love to be a part of this fun design along challenge!

Crochet along with Hobbii
The challenge is that the followers on Instagram will help to decide what we are making. In the first poll, they voted for a koala. I love the idea and I started to make the head right away!
I am also excited to see what the koala will look like in the end, because this is not up to me, but to you!
So go to Instagram and vote! In a few days, I will make some posts and a story and you can all help to see what this little koala will look like. Also, we need a name! Can you think of any?
I made two koalas, one with a black nose and one with a blue nose. I forgot to order black yarn! But you can use any color you want to for the nose. I can’t wait to see your versions!
I hope that you like it so far and that you want to make it with me!

How much yarn do I need?
You only need about 2 skeins of yarn (50 g) in grey and some small amounts in a different color, in case we are making clothes or something. Also, you need a crochet hook (I’m using 3 mm), safety eyes, stuffing, and a tapestry needle.

Assembly
Sew on the nose between the eyes. Pinch the ears flat and sew them on, between rounds 5 - 8.
Sew on mouth and eyebrows. Use some white yarn and sew just above the eye to create a white diagonal line. This is to bring some light into the eyes. Cut some strands of yarn and attach it in front of the ears. Use the tapestry needle to split the yarn to make it look like fur. Do this on the top of the head as well
If you want to, you can add some blush on the ears.
Sew on the arms just below the head.
They’re beautiful!!! I love how you did their faces
