Hi friends! I was playing with some ideas for a crochet Christmas star pattern this week and I actually came up with several, so I thought I would share this with you today. It is not long until Christmas is here, which is why this star ornament is perfect because you can stitch up these babies in no time! I think I did spend about 10 minutes making one. I want to make more and give them away as a Christmas gift and I do know a couple of people who would be very happy to receive theses handmade stars! All you need is a little bit of cotton yarn, a size 3.5/ E crochet hook, and you're good to go! I also added some glitter yarn to the last round and I like the look! I also blocked mine, I first made it a little wet and then i pinned the ornament to a pillow and let it dry for one night. It is totally worth it and I recommend that you do that if you're making a star
And guess what I have done this time, I made a YouTube video! And you can not believe the struggle I had with it, because my first attempts where totally blurry! I hate blurry videos and I didn't want to upload one with low quality so this is why it took me longer to release the pattern. So any blurriness that may find it's due to YouTube or bad internet connection:) Regardless of the struggles I had, I had so much fun making it and I definitely upload more videos in the future! I hope that you like the video and I would be so glad if you'll tell me what you think about it! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos!
Hang these stars on the tree, in the window or use it as a gift tag on your Christmas gifts, the possibility are many! I made mine with cotton yarn from drops with a yarn is called Muskat and it is perfect for projects like these. But any kind of cotton yarn can be used, just make sure that the yarn matches the size of your hook. I also had some gold yarn lying in my stash and I used that for the final round to make the star sparkle a little more.
