The cozy ridge cowl

Are you a beginner and looking for an easy and quick crochet cowl pattern? Something easy and quick that you can stitch up in no time?

Or maybe you are someone who has been crocheting for a while and looking for a quick and easy project?

You have come to the right place!

Christmas is coming soon and I wanted to make a quick gift for some of my family members. After making so many ornaments, I felt like it was time to try something new.

The yarn

This thick and chunky yarn is perfect for a quick project. I got this from a German store. It is from Rico Design and the name of the yarn is Super Wool.

Look at that beautiful shade of gray! It has such a nice shine to it and the finished cowl looks so nice!

200 g has 80 m and you'll need a little over one skein to get the same size as on mine. I love soft yarn. Especially for a cowl, it needs to be very soft! Whenever I am searching for yarn for a cowl, I am very particular.

If you can't find this particular yarn, you can check out another yarn from Rico design, it is called Essential Super Super Chunky.

This yarn has a blend of acrylics and wool, so it is soft and warm. Nothing keeps the cold out like animal fibers! However, you can use any kind of yarn with this crochet cowl pattern.

The hook

Since we are working with chunky yarn, we need a bigger hook. I am using a 10 mm from Clover Amour and it is such a great hook! If you are working with a thinner yarn, then you can use the same size as the label recommends.
