It's almost easter so I figured I'll make a pattern for some crochet easter chicks! These adorable crochet chicks are easy to make and I've added the loop stitches to give them an interesting look. Now if you don't know how to make this stitch, I've included a video tutorial for you to make it easier! The loop stitches are so easy to make once you get the hang of it, so now you can really create some unique and festive chicks for easter!
I love the look of the loop stitches and I've done several pattern in the past using them, take a look at the loop stitch sheep, hairy scary monsters or the Hedgehog Bolla for example! Only the body from the crochet easter chick is made with the loop stitches and the rest is made of single crochet, so it is very easy to make! If you want a different look you can also use the normal single crochet for your chick.
If you are you like to read tutorials instead of watching them I've also got you covered, here I explained with pictures how to do the loop stitches.
These chicks are made with cotton yarn and I used a H/5mm crochet hook, but you can of course use thinner or thicker yarn to make your chick smaller or bigger.
They are also quick to make and mine measures about 20 cm/ 7.8 inches. If you want to crochet some chicks, please share your picture on Facebook or tag me on Instagram.
I absolutely LOVE seeing your versions and it is a big motivation to me to see that so many of you are making my patterns!
