A few days ago, I shared the free crochet pattern for this cute amigurumi hen. But then it hit me—what's a hen without a cozy nest? So, I whipped up a little crochet nest with scalloped edges to complete the scene!
Get the PDF version of Hedda the Hen and her nest here, or scroll down for the free version.

Of course, I had to write up the pattern for Hedda's Nest and share it with you all. This pattern also works with Chernille yarn. I made the nest in a dark brown color that I had lying around.

When I finished the crochet nest, I felt something was missing, so I made a little chick too! I used the same pattern for the hen but stopped increasing after 24 stitches instead of 30. Instead of the comb, I used some strands to make hair.

I think the chick turned out pretty cute too!

I want to share the pictures from the testers' versions of Hedda's Nest, too. Here, you can see how they look with different yarn and colors. I am so happy that so many have wanted to test this pattern.
Testers versions
This time, I want to show off the testers' versions. Look at their beautiful nests. I hope you get inspired to make your own, unique version.
