Crochet ragdoll pattern

I am so excited to share this free crochet ragdoll lamb pattern with you!

It seems like crochet ragdolls are totally popular nowadays, so I decided to make a pattern for a ragdoll, too!

I tried to make this pattern as simple as possible and easy to follow, therefore I have included many pictures to explain the steps.

This crochet ragdoll pattern is also quite quick to make, and you can probably stitch up a lamb in one evening.

This is one of my most popular patterns on the blog, and I have seen so many versions of these cute lambs. I glad that you enjoy this pattern so much!

So if you haven't made one yet, grab a hook and some yarn and let's stitch up some cute lambs!

Ragdoll crochet lamb

These cute sheep are made with simple crochet stitches, like single crochet and the bobble stitch.

The Yarn

You can use any kind of yarn, just make sure that the size of your crochet hook matches your yarn!

These lambs are soft and squishy and the bobble stitch gives the yarn an interesting look and texture.

The idea behind this design

When I created the design for this crochet ragdoll pattern, I wanted to make something unique, but it also had to be simple, this is why I included easy stitches and many pictures to make sure that everybody can follow.

These lambs would make an excellent companion for a baby or a toddler, and I also wanted to make them extra safe, therefore I decided to use yarn to make their eyes and mouth.

Before you scroll down to the free crochet ragdoll pattern, I would really appreciate it if you follow me on Facebook! You also get noticed every time I publish a free crochet pattern!

Body – make 2 panels

Color mint green or pink. 5mm crochet hook

How to make the bobble stitch.

Row 1) Ch 16, turn,1 sc in the second chain from the hook and in each stitch. Ch 3, turn (15 sc)

Row 2) *1 bo in the same stitch as chain 3, I sc in next sc, bo in next*. Rep. *-* until end of the row. Ch 1, turn. (8 bo, 7 sc)

Row 3) 15 sc, ch 3, turn (15 sc)

Row 4) 1 sc in first sc, 1 bo in next sc, *, ch 1 turn. (7 bo, 8 sc)

Row 5) Repeat row 3.

Row 6) Repeat row 2.

Row 7) Repeat row 3.

Row 8) Repeat row 4.

Row 9) Repeat row 3.

Row 10) Repeat row 2.

When you get to row 10 you should have 5 bobble rows in the height (you can also add more rows).

Flip your work every now and then to check if the puffs are sitting neatly between each other. When you reached the height that you want just chain 1 and make 1 single crochet all around the sheep.

I got 15 on the top and 13 on the side, but it doesn’t matter what you get, as long as you have the same amount of stitches for the other side! Slip stitch in the first sc. Fasten off and make one more part. Put the parts aside.

Head, color nature. Make two panels.

Hook 4,5mm

Row 1) Chain 6, turn, 1 sc in the 2ndch from the hook and in each stitch. (5 sc)

Row 2) Chain 1, turn, sc inc, 3 sc, sc inc, ch 1, turn (7 sc)

Row 3) sc inc, 5 sc, sc inc. Ch 1, turn (9 sc)

Row 4) Sc inc, 7 sc, sc inc. Ch 1, turn (11 sc)

Row 5 - 8) 11 sc, ch 1, turn (11 sc)

Cut the yarn and make the second part. The second part will be the front side of the face.

Do not cut the yarn for the side that you want the face to be on. Just make a big chain after the last sc and leave it like that. Sew on eyes and mouth. Place the part with the face wrong side in and sc the parts together.

Before you crochet the face complete together, stuff it lightly with filling material. Make a slip stitch in the first stitch, cut the yarn and weave in ends. See pictures for more explanation.

Put the two parts on top of each other. Chain 1

How to make a bow

If you want a girly lamb, you can make a bow. 4.5 mm crochet hook

In body color:

Row 1: ch 8, turn, 1 sc in the 2ndch from the hook and in each ch, ch 1, turn (7 sc)

Row 2 -4: 1 sc in each sc (7 sc)

Cut the yarn, leave a tail for fastening.

Take a long strand and wire it firmly around the bow.

Assembly

Sew the ears on the last row near the bobble stitches on the top of the head. Fasten the head on the body before you crochet the body complete together. Crochet the body together as you did with the head.

Remember to add some filling material before you crochet the body complete together.

Stuff lightly. Sew on tail on the opposite of the head. Sew on the feet. If you made a bow, sew it on the top of the head, near the one ear.  Weave in all ends.
