Hi friends! What have you been up to so far this summer? Did you find any time to crochet? I have been making some new amirugumi designs, and this time I made a crochet seal pattern! You know, since it is shark week and all, I thought I make a sea animal too. Not a shark but maybe I will make one next year.
The crochet seal pattern for Sammy the Seal is ready and I am so happy about how he turned out! This little seal is made with cotton yarn from drops and a 2,5 mm crochet hook. As usual I have included many step-by-step photos in this pattern so it is easy to follow. The crochet seal pattern is available in English, Norwegian and German and the pattern has many pictures to help explain the various steps.
It was fun and challenging to make this pattern because it includes some shaping, but thanks to help from my testers, I think we got the shape just right! Sometimes it is fun to challenge your self, and to do something that you never done before. You learn and grow and can use the experience to make even more challenging things! This seal pattern was a challenge for me, and I think I made 4 versions of the body and 3 versions of the head until I was happy!
For this project, I used Drops Safran from Garnstudio. This is not an affiliate link, so I am not being pay for writing this: I love their yarn and I find myself using it for many of my projects. I mean, look at those colors, and it is affordable too!
But it is very fun and it gives me much joy to share my creations with you guys. If you are into sea animal patterns, I also have made a ragdoll jellyfish pattern. Seriously, you should check it out, I just released it, and it is already very popular.
This time it is a premium pattern and there is a link below where you can purchase it for a small fee. All the money from pattern sales goes back to supporting this blog. Thank you so much for your support when you buy my patterns!
