Materials you'll need:

Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- sk: skip
- st(s): stitch(es)
Instructions:
- Foundation chain: Start by creating a foundation chain with a multiple of 2 chains, plus an additional 6 chains for turning.
- Row 1: In the 6. chain from the hook, work a double crochet (dc)." Skip the next chain, dc in the next chain. Repeat from "-" until you reach the last 2 chains.
- Last stitches of Row 1: 1 dc the second-to-last chain and work 1 double crochet in the last chain. (to get a nice edge).
- Ch 3 (turning chain): Ch 4 and turn your work.
- Row 2: Dc in the first chain one space between the second third dc stitches of the previous row (this creates an offset look), "Chain 1, dc in the next chain 1 space." Repeat until the end of the row. 1 d
- Last stitches of Row 2: 1 dc in the last ch 1 sp. 1 dc in the 3 ch from the hook from the chain 4 from the previous row.
- Repeat Row 2: Continue repeating Row 2 until you reach your desired length.
- Finishing: When you've completed the desired number of rows, fasten off the yarn and weave in any loose ends with a yarn needle.
