I personally love pretty crochet stitches that are easy to memorize and doesn’t require much brain power. It’s great to pick up a project that you can work on while watching tv. The Iris stitch is pretty to look at, easy to memorize and works up pretty quick! A beautiful stitch pattern that I personally love! So here is a quick tutorial so you can learn it too if you already haven’t.

The Iris stitch is a beautiful and beginner friendly stitch and is one of the easiest crochet stitches I know. It is a one-row repeat and you are only doing double crochet and chain stitches! This is a stitch that is perfect for summer projects!
Here I’ve worked the same stitch with a different yarn. The pink one is shinier and the blue is a soft cotton yarn that I bought in Norway, called Sandnes Mandarin.
This stitch can be turned into so many beautiful projects! Blankets, sweaters or jar cozies are some examples. Or how about a long and thin summer scarf? This stitch is very airy and with a light yarn, you can make a summer scarf.
