Crochet a Little Ghost for Halloween - For beginners
I have done it again! I have made yet ANOTHER pattern for a crochet ghost!
If you are new to this blog, you maybe think this a strange opening, but if you have been hanging out here for a while, you know I love making ghosts and other fun patterns for Halloween.
This is a cute crochet mini-ghost, and I made this pattern spesicic for beginners in min. Thanks to its simple shape, this project is also great for beginners. You only need a small amount of yarn, so it's perfect for using up scraps.
This cute crochet ghost is worked from top to bottom in continuous spiral rounds. The wavy skirt is created in the last round through a combination of slip stitches and double crochets.
Finally, add a small embroidered face and a chain loop for hanging. That way, you can hang it on a Halloween bush, a bag, a keychain, or a gift.

What you'll need
- White yarn
- A crochet hook to match the yarn
- Two small safety eyes
- Some black yarn for embroidering the mouth
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
Note: If the ghost is for a small child, embroider the eyes instead. Safety eyes can come loose and be a choking hazard.

- sl st – slip stitch

- inc – increase: 2 single crochets in the same stitch

Head and Body
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in every st. (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) × 6. (18)
Rnd 4–8: 1 sc in each st around. (18)
Insert the safety eyes between Rnd 5 and 6, leaving about 2 sts between the eyes.
Skirt
Rnd 9: 3 dc in the first st, 1 sl st in each of the next 2 sts, 3 dc in the next st, repeat from * to * until 2 sts remain, 1 sl st in each of the last 2 sts.
Cut the yarn, finish off, and weave in all ends.
Finishing
Using black yarn, embroider a small mouth between the eyes.
For the hanging loop, attach white yarn at the top of the head in Rnd 1 and chain 25. Cut the yarn, leaving a longer tail for sewing.
Sew the end of the chain securely to the top of the head using the long tail. Then carefully weave in all remaining ends.
Your little crochet ghost is done!
