Ragdoll unicorn - inspiration behind the design
Actually some followers on TikTok suggested I'd make a unicorn pattern. First, I started with one made in rounds and in an amigurumi style. Somehow, however, I got stuck so I put the pattern to the side and started over again.
Update. I made some unicorns with different eyes. Check them out here and get some tips and tricks on how to make them safe for babies and small children as well!

So I made a flat one instead. I don't know exactly why, but designing comes easier to me if I stick to ragdoll projects.
The yarn
This crochet unicorn is made with many fun colors and you can go wild with the colors on this one! I made one in the traditional white and one in turquoise. For the mane I choose different colors like pink, purple, blue and green. The unicorn horn is made with yellow to make it stand out
Hobbii.com was so kind as to sponsor me with their lovely Rainbow 8/8 cotton yarn for this project. You can find so many pretty colors and the yarn is perfect for amigurumi and many other projects as well!
Video tutorial
I made a video tutorial in German and English for the crochet unicorn pattern. You can find all my recent patterns as a video tutorial as well!
I often reveal many tips and tricks in my videos on how to make your crocheted amigurumi stand out. Also, I give away finishing tips and tricks that I have learned over the years.

Bring your summer projects where you go!
This little ragdoll unicorn is perfect for the summer, because it is small and easy to transport. I saw these cute projects bags on Lion Brand.
These bags are so cute! You can choose between a hedgehog. otter, mouse or fox! And they are all knitting. I know, crocheting would be cooler, but these are so cute!

Make one more panel. Fasten off on the first panel, but not the second one. Make the face on the second part. Attach safety eyes between rows 7 and 8, 4-5 stitches apart. (or whatever you like best). If you wish, make eyelashes or eyebrows with some black, thinner sports weight yarn. If you want to make eyelashes, sew them on before attaching the back part of the safety eyes. Lay the panels on each other and single crochet them together. One single crochet in each row. Remember to add stuffing before closing. Stuff lightly, not too firm! See the videos for more details.

Make a second panel and single crochet them together as we did with the head. One single crochet in each row. Remember to add stuffing before closing. Stuff lightly, not too firm!
Unicorn hair (mane and tail)
Make spirals in different lengths and colors.
In various colors:
Ch 20, 2 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. 3 sc in every st until the end of the row.
Make 9-10 spirals in different colors and lengths. I made 9 spirals. 3 for the tail and 6 for the mane. I made 6 spirals starting with 20 and the rest starting with 15 chains. Feel free to make different in other lengths if you want to as well. The colors I used were purple, green, pink, and turquoise.
Assembly
Sew on the ears on the top of the head 4 sc stitches apart. Sew on the unicorn-horn on rows 12-13, in the middle of the head. Sew on a nose with some black yarn. Sew on the mane between the ears. Sew the head to the body in a corner. Attach some withe yarn on the body where you want your head to be and sew it on, going in a little circle, making sure it’s secure. Sew on the feet at the bottom close to the corners. Sew on the tail.
