I wanted something that could hold my bottle without requiring an extra bag, and this little project turned out to be the perfect solution. It's beginner-friendly, easy to customize for different bottle sizes, and made with cotton yarn, so it's friendly and breathable — no sweaty plastic against your body, thank you very much.

- Cotton yarn, sports weight in optional color
- 1 crochet carrier used up to 40 grams of yarn
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Instructions
Summer Bottle Holder
The base is approximately 8 cm. Depending on the number of diameters in your bottle, you can add an extra round to make it larger or smaller.
Use a stitch marker and move it up as you go. The chain 2 in the first 5-6 rounds does not count as a sitch
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 10 dc into a mr, sl st into the first st, ch 2. (10 dc)
Rnd 2: 2 dc in each st around, sl st into the first st, ch 2 (20 dc)
Rnd 3: (1 dc, inc) x 10, sl st into the first st, ch 2 (30 dc)
Rnd 4: (2 dc, inc) x 10, sl st into the first st, ch 2 (40 sc)
If you want a bigger base, add another round. If not, jump to round 6
Rnd 5: (3 dc, inc) x 10, sl st into the first st, ch 2 (50 sc)
Body:
Rnd 6: Ch 6 (counts as 1 sc + 5 ch),* sk 3 st, sc into the next, 5 ch,*.
Repeat from *-* for the complete round until 3 sts remain. Ch 5, sl st into the third chain of the starting ch-6.
Rnd 7: Ch 6 ( counts as 1 sc + 5 ch), * sc in the next ch-5 space, ch 5 *
Repeat from *-* for the complete round. At the end, sl st into the third chain of the starting ch-6.
Rnds 8–23: Repeat Round 7 until your bottle holder reaches your desired height.
Edge
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 3 sc in each ch-5 space around, sl st into the first sc, ch 1.
Rmd 2-4:1 sc in each st around, sl st into the first sc at the end of each round, ch 1. Do not cut the yarn. Continue with the strap.
Strap
Row 1: Ch 1, work 5 sc across, ch 1 turn (5 sc)
Rows 2-100: 5 sc across, ch 1, turn; Repeat until you reach your desired strap length. If you want a cross-body strap option make 200 rows or so.
Secure it to the other side with sl st to the edge. Turn the bottle carrier inside out to hide the seam.
Make sure you have about the same amount of stitches on each side. Sl st 5 times.
Fasten yarn and weave in ends.
